Hello, this is literally just a neocities for my Ninjago AUs. I work at kind of a slow pace so don't expect a lot.
Tumblr: @The-Rabbot, that is the only other place you can see me. If you can't see all three buttons on mobile then try zooming out the page (idk how to optimize the buttons yet). 🐇
Much of this is subject to change, characters who don't have a set place in the AU, but are still named, will be between {these} brackets. Also still sort of figuring out how some characters from other Realms got here, but I like them so we must stay strong
Instead of the Merge, the Overlord somehow erects a massive spire in Ninjago, consuming several cities and towns with it. The spire has 5 different distinct levels, the first 4 focusing on one of the elements of creation. Due to the conflicting forces of the Overlord's destruction and the Elements of Creation, the divide between realms has become unstable, which has caused instances of residents from other realms to fall through and into the spire.
The Ninja are nowhere to be seen or heard from. But as powerful as the Overlord is, it's not currently omniprescent, which is why it has tasked other villains to watch over the districts. However, this may prove to be it's downfall...
ruled by Aspheera and Pythor
Far underneath the spire itself and near the core of the earth itself. Serpentine make up the majority of the level since they have better resistance to the heat.
Prominent Areas: The Kiln, {Secret Serpentine Channels}, {Garmadon's Tomb}, {Lobby between Fire and Earth}
Ruled by {Cryptor}, {Kalamaar}, and 'The Archivist' (Krux/Acronix)
The largest of the districts, split up into three regions ruled by different villains. starting at the base of the spire and extending upward with mountains surrounding it. The ground level is the most 'livable', but still suffers under the circumstances.
Prominent Areas: {CyberCity}, {Greater Water Basin}, {Ninjago City}, {Fungus Forest}
Ruled by "Chen"
The most dangerous with scaffolding threatening to break under those who walk on top of them. Not to mention the ruthless guards and people who're doing what they can to survive. If you brave the heavy storms, you may see the blue sky or stars of the outside.
Prominent Areas: {Walkway of the Foolhardy}, {Chen's Mansion}, Morro's secret base
Ruled by the Ice Emperor and {Vangelis}
The level is made up of a large palace where people who've devoted themselves to the Overlord reside in hedonism up in the West Wing, and those who've tried to defy him rot in the either the East Wing or harshness of the cold mountain peaks.
Prominent Areas: {West Wing}, {East Wing}, {Cruel Peaks}
Residence of the Overlord itself
While not ruled by anyone, the outer areas of the spire have became harsh due to the contamination.
Garmadon
sort of a husk/shell, when the overlord was able to create its own body it ditched Garmadon to the depths.
Skales Senior
Leads a small serpentine resitence group
Aspheera
Originally offered the position to rule over the Fire District (Pythor as her second in command). However, she quickly became enraged at the sight of serpentine being mistreated yet again. Once she caught Skales Sr. and his small resistance she started to strategize with him, becoming a spy for the Serpentine led resistance.
Pythor[Villain]
Misako
After being trapped in the Spire, she started searching for anything that may have been caught in the spire as well that could help her contact anyone on the outside, but to no avail. She was then found by Acronix while he was returning from a trip to the other cities. He basically begged her to come with him back to {Ninjago City} so her, his brother, and himself could join forces to achieve their shared goal. She did not believe him and ran away. However, Krux caught her breaking into {the castle in ninjago city idk what to call them yet} and this time was able to convince her that him and his brother were actually good. Now, she stays with the two of them in secret, helping in any way she can. {She could probably decipher messages that may have been sent around by the other rulers that had been written in older/different languages, idk}
Krux
The Overlord promised to give him and his brother's powers back as long as they worked under him, and they initially were happy with the deal. However after about a month they soon realized none of this was worth it. After reviewing their options they both agreed to stay and try and help people. Krux usually stays in {Ninjago City}
Acronix
Is the one who travels out of the city for "diplomatic" reasons, his real goal is to be a spy as well. Neither him nor his brother know Aspheera is also a spy.

Gayle Gossip
Was recording live when the Emergence happened, and her and her crew were left to fend for themselves in the newly created chaos of it all. Eventually her crew settled into the discordant life in the new city, but her and Vinny decided to venture off into the wilderness of the spire.
Vinny Folson
Ventured off with Gayle into the wilderness because, out of the rest of the crew, she was surprisingly the one he's closest with. Him and Gayle thankfully have some basic survival skills, they do sort of well.
Dareth
After staying in {CyberCity} for the early period of the Emergence, he managed to make his way outside to try and find any of the Ninja or other allies. He nearly died in the wilderness, but thankfully Vinny and Gayle found him before that happened. He ended up traveling with them, picking up some survival skills as well.
Skales Junior
"Volunteered" (AKA went off without asking) to journey across the spire to learn more about the upper levels to aid in the Serpentine Resistance efforts while also recruiting humans as well. At some point he got stuck and passed out in the Earth District, being found by Gayle, Vinny, and Dareth. He plans to stick with them throughout the Earth District but go off on his own for the Lightning and Ice Districts.
Clouse (As Chen)[Villain]
After staying with Chen once he was given the position of ruler, he quickly betrays and kills Chen, secretly taking his place.
{Jordana}
Morro
After being brought back to life and offered a position as a Ruler by the Overlord, he very quickly denied it. The Overlord was displeased and took his powers to try and gain leverage, but Morro didn't budge. He managed to hide away in the Lighting District, eventually finding a small cavern on the side of one of the accessory mountains. He found Arin while scouting for food and water and took him back with him, eventually starting to train him.
Arin
Was separated from his parents when the Spire first emerged. A few years later, after managing to teach himself spinjitsu, in an attempt to find them he somehow managed to stowaway on {transportation vehicle} to the Lightning District, but was quickly discovered so he had to run away. After being taken in by Morro and somehow figuring out he was trained like his heroes were, Arin begged Morro to let him stay and train him too, that way he could hopefully help others like the Ninja did.

A few things, one is that I'm working on this at my own pace, so its going to be slow. Also some things are going to be added out of order because the little monkies with typewriters in my brain keep jumping around a lot. its gonna start oversimplified but I promise I'll make it better as I go on. Anything that's between {these} brackets is stuff im going to change later
Basically, what if instead of the Time Twins' motive being like 'our element is the best, so we should control Ninjago', it was their dad (Named Kronos in this AU) who was like that (sorta), so the FSM sealed him away, but he was somehow able to contact his sons (favoring Krux), and slowly manipulate them and change the narrative to make it seem like the FSM sucked more than him. Other major changes in the au are Acronix training under Chen along with Garmadon which is how they met in the au, Garmadon being able to escape the cursed realm (or never going there in the first place), and also Morro being redeemed and re-humanized. Yay having fun
When he was around 7, Kronos washed up at a coastal village with no memory of his life before. The village obviously took in this lost 7 year old because he's a child. He soon discovered his ability to control time and used it to repay the village, mainly speeding up crops and reversing building damage. When he was around 12 he decided to travel with some of the merchents to help other towns as well. He was highly praised by many people, even given gifts. The only thing he wouldnt do was use his powers on people, due to the risk if de-aging or aging up someone too far.
Eventually, at the age of 18 he settled down in a small town after falling in love with Mariam after encountering her stargazing as he walked alone at night. After many years of staying in the village, making friends with a blacksmith too, he meets the First Spinjitzu Master and eagerly tells them about his powers, expecting to get praise like he has so many times before. Instead, he was met subtle contention as he was told to keep his head out the clouds, he's still just a man after all. {It didnt ruin his day but he thought the FSM was kind of a dickhead for that}
Eventually, at the age of 27 he sets off with other merchants once again to share the gift of his power. {A/N: fuck this guy}. Eventually, there comes a time where someone asks him to revive their relative who died from a mysterious illness that not even the FSM could heal. After hearing the FSM's name be mentioned he immediatly went at it and revived the person, urging some townspeople to tell the FSM 'Kronos did what they could not'. On his way back to his wife, the FSM interupts him and the merchants {and is all like 'hey man wtf, hubris fucking sucks. i dont trust you with these powers fuck you' and straight up steals some of his powers, just fast foward and reverse though.}
He returns home bitter, it perists and consumes his thoughts for years; even when Mariam gets pregant all he can think about {is what an asshole the FSM was to him, ignoring the fact that the only reason he revived that person was to piss the FSM off}. When he's 38, a year after his children are born, he leaves to seek his revenge. However, his friend- the blacksmith- went behind his back and was able to find the FSM before Kronos and warn them of whats to come.
Kronos went through each village and demanded to know where the FSM was, he thought of himself as a god with the right to takeaway the gifts he'd bestowed unto them. Eventually, the FSM and Kronos run into eachother and Kronos strikes immediatly, recklessly. During the fight he finds out the blacksmith betrayed him, he wss taken off guard by this for long enough the FSM was able to {beats his ass and send him to lego hell (cursed realm)}. Kronos was enraged, how could someone be so arrogant as to anger a god. He vowed that no matter what, no matter when, no matter who, he would carry out his revenge for their hubris. {A/N: this dude is describing himself without even know it !!!}
{The jist of it is that Mariam, after being told by the blacksmith her husband is dead, is in a massive state of shock. She was told to keep an eye on Krux to make sure he doesnt develop the same god complex Kronos did (not acronix, they dont know he has powers yet, since Krux was born first). Whenever either of the twins asked about their dad, Mariam would say 'he was a good man, he just lost his way' because 1. She didnt want her kids to feel like they would be like their father if she told them he was bad 2. she also did not know the full story due to Kronos' lying. One way or another, Krux grew up more isolated, left wondering how his dad 'lost his way'. While Acronix also struggled with these things, he ended up a bit more outgoing. Eventually Acronix starts training under Chen and meets Garmadon, which is how the twins end up in the elemental alliance. While Acronix is away training, their mom falls ill. Around the same time Kronos finds away to appear in the realm of the living through the use of shadows and talks to both twins, but favors Krux for some reason.}
